of employees are actively or passively looking for a new job.
of employees feel no one at work encourages their development.
of managers have never received formal management training.
of managers say they are not engaged at work.
Work doesn’t have to be a drag. I’ll help you build a place where people want to show up, with less drama & more purpose. No forced fun or cheesy team-building—just practical ways to make your workplace feel connected.
Finding good people is tough—and then you need to get them up to speed fast. I’ll help you hire the right folks and make their first few weeks actually count, with a process that feels like your company and lays out expectations clearly.
The right tech should make your life easier, not give you more headaches. I’ll help you find and train your employees on HR systems that actually work for your size and budget.
Nobody likes reading policies, but everyone needs them. I’ll turn all that legal mumbo-jumbo into clear guidelines real humans can understand and actually follow— protecting your business without putting everyone to sleep.
People need feedback more than just once year in that awkward meeting. I’ll help you create natural, ongoing conversations about performance that actually help your team improve, backed by pay structures that are transparent.
Graduated. Degree in hand.
Now what?
I help students and recent grads make the jump from campus to career – résumés, interviews, job offers, and everything school forgot to teach.
Once you’ve landed the job, I’ll guide you through the unspoken side of work – the politics, expectations, and conversations that shape your career.
Because success isn’t just about the job you do, it’s about knowing how work really works.
Congratulations on the promotion!
Now… what do you actually do with it?
The jump from doing the work to leading the work is huge, and most people get zero training for it.
I help new managers build their leadership toolkit so you can stop second-guessing yourself and start leading with confidence.
We’ll tackle everything from having tough conversations to delegating effectively to finding your own authentic leadership style.
We’ll focus on what’s actually hard — the moments that don’t come with a playbook, and how to handle them without losing yourself in the role.
My journey into HR consulting started pretty simply: after nearly a decade in corporate HR roles, I found myself most energized when I was building something from the ground up. I’d served as the sole HR lead at three different startups, and those experiences confirmed what I already knew - I love being hands-on, helping smaller organizations shape their entire people strategy from scratch.
Let’s be real—building great teams is about more than just hiring. It’s about thoughtful onboarding, smart policies that actually work, and creating a culture that goes beyond the benefits you offer. It’s about how you make someone feel on their first day, how teams have tough conversations, and how people from different departments actually work together.
I’m here to help with the full spectrum—recruitment strategies that attract the right talent, HR systems that don’t drown you in paperwork, and training programs that actually stick. I’m also a Certified Senior Professional Career Coach and a Certified Mental Health Leadership Professional, so I bring a coaching-forward, people-first approach to everything I do. I especially love working with first-time managers and early-career professionals to help them grow with clarity and confidence.
There’s nothing quite like watching someone go from “What am I doing?” or “How do I have this conversation?” to confidently leading a team that actually wants to follow them.
I work best with early-stage companies—typically pre-seed to Series B—as well as nonprofits that are building HR for the first time and want to do it thoughtfully from day one.
Pooja was my career coach during my transition from education to human resources. At our first meeting, we walked through my previous experiences and mapped out my career goals. She listened attentively and had great insights on how best to present myself to future employers. Through subsequent sessions, she reviewed and gave specific, actionable feedback on my resume, spoke on how to thoughtfully network in my desired industry, and even conducted mock interviews once I was called in for an interview! As a professional in her field, she approached our sessions with a great attitude, always had time for questions, and let me steer the conversations to the areas in which I needed the most help. And.... I GOT THE JOB! Pooja will be an invaluable resource to anyone who chooses to use her services. Highly recommend!!!

PROGRAM ASSISTANT, ICDL DIRFLOORTIME
The most valuable aspect of our partnership has been the consistent, equitable approach to team management. By ensuring that every team member receives the same level of attention, respect, and opportunity, Pooja helped create a workplace culture where people feel genuinely valued and connected. This consistency has been crucial in building trust, maintaining team morale, and creating an environment where employees feel heard and supported, regardless of their role or level in the organization.

Derivative Path, President and COO
Pooja showed us that the HR title should be a company's soul for every action. Furthermore, she taught us that love and respect should always prevail no matter how difficult the path is. Still, the most important thing I could learn from her is that the true identity of the human being is found in love and respect for both business cultures as human beings culture.

Director, Financial Intelligence Unit
Pooja was Derivative Path's first HR professional. She built the HR organization from scratch. She streamlined a variety of HR processes (performance reviews, onboarding/offboarding, recruiting). She also built a foundation to engage employees across multiples countries, whether in-office, hybrid or remote, and varying demographics. Pooja is the complete HR partner. She marries both the softer aspects of HR while being a goal oriented leader. She is great at building relationships, psychological safety, and navigating challenging employee relations with empathy. Meanwhile, she also has a strong understanding of HR principles and has a relentless work ethic.
